We offer housing that feels like independent living but with dorm-like rules and services. Resident Advisors live on site. All units are 2-bedroom, 2-bath furnished units strategically located near campus. The cost includes rent, utilities, and internet access. If independent housing is a better fit, apartment and roommate referrals are available via a private social network.
The Met
The Met is located right across the street from FIDM in downtown Los Angeles. The apartment building features a 24-hour doorman and a card-access system. Facilities include a fitness center, a pool and two hydro-massage spas, a recreation room with movie viewing/large screen TV room, and a landscaped garden. There is an on-site study room with 4 drafting tables, sewing room with dress forms and convenient laundry facilities. Each FIDM unit includes furniture, utilities, internet-access and quarterly cleaning. Food, parking and telephone services are not included.

G12 is located two and half blocks away from FIDM in downtown Los Angeles. The apartment building has a fire-pit, bbq grills, 2 sundecks and plenty of space to tuck yourself away from the hustle and bustle of life’s demands. G12 offers a sophisticated clubhouse with a television room, entertainment kitchen, and screening area. G12’s 24-hour gym ensures your health and fitness needs are met, and the pool and hot tub provide some fun in the sun. Each FIDM unit includes full size washer and dryer, furniture, utilities, internet-access and quarterly cleaning. Food, parking and telephone services are not included.

Independent Housing
Another option for FIDM Students is Independent Housing, meaning the student will locate and make arrangements for his or her own housing. The FIDM Housing Office is happy to assist students with apartment and roommate referrals. Students will then contact the different apartment complexes and potential roommates directly.
Please Note: The properties that are used by FIDM Student Housing are also available to students independently, however, the rates will not be the same as those offered by Student Housing.
