ONEGIN SEVEN ARTS INTERNATIONAL Chloe Obolsenky/John Bright The epic novel by Alexander Pushkin, that has been read for generations, was the inspiration for this film. Set in the early l9th century during Russia's most ostentatious and extravagant historical period, it is a tragic tale of love, passion, intrigue and death. The film stars Ralph Fiennes in the title character, a cynical aristocrat at the St. Petersburg court who is captivated by his best friend's fiancée. Costume designers are both famous for their work - Ms. Obolensky specifically for her long connection with director Peter Brook. John Bright has received many Academy Nominations, and an Oscar with Jenny Beavan for "Room with a View".
