Coleen Atwood designed these mid-nineteenth century costumes for this film adaptation of Toni Morrison's famed novel. She has successfully recreated the somber clothing of the days of slavery and ultimate redemption. Ms Atwood was nominated by the Academy for her outstanding work on Little Women, and once again skillfully presents her trade in this Oprah Winfrey picture. Courtesy Touchstone Pictures.
