Dear Lexi:

I understand your dilemma: you have to be seen, and photographed, with this guy on one of the biggest nights of your life! But be kind, and keep the peace, by saying nothing about his choice of tux. Remember, it's his Prom too. You got to pick the dress you liked, and you would not enjoy hearing that your date did not care for your choice of dress! It would be pretty depressing to go through a whole night with a person who you knew didn't like what you are wearing. Instead, do the polite thing and compliment him on how fabulous he looks, as you expect him to compliment you. Concentrate on looking your best and having the best possible time at the dance. Contrary to popular belief, we are not supposed to say everything we think!
