Dear Fashion Girl:

This is my last year of high school. I had to wear a uniform all the time. I am going to college next year and I don't know what clothes to buy. I usually buy clothes that I will never wear after a week. I need advice on finding cheap clothes that I will want to wear everyday. Thank you.

My advice for college is to start with the basics. Comfort is super important! Purchase a few great pairs of jeans that fit well and then work from there. Your top or blouse is a great way to express your style. Not knowing what style you like best, it's hard to tell you which looks to go for. Personally I am a big fan of anthropologie.com and urbanoutfitters.com. I like flirty styles. For t-shirts, you can't beat Lily Wear by Miele Fresca (link below). Their graphics are limited edition (you won't see them everywhere) and super cute. Blazers are still going to be very big for fall, so I would suggest purchasing two to three blazers to wear over your favorite t-shirts, including one with pirate or military style (you can be as basic or funky as you feel comfortable with).
