Racing To The Finish For A Great Cause

FIDM Participates in the Annual Jimmy Stewart Relay Marathon

Every year, FIDM participates in an event that raises money for a wonderful cause - children in need. Over ten thousand runners, spectators, and supporters gather in Los Angeles' beautiful Griffith Park for the Annual Jimmy Stewart Relay Marathon.

The marathon benefits the Saint John's Health Center's Child and Family Development Center in Santa Monica. This year, 25 FIDM students, alumni, and friends joined in the race. Team FIDM was divided up into five smaller teams of five, and each shared in the 26 mile run. It was a fun-filled day for everyone, all for such a great cause. Team FIDM hit the pavement, ran fast, and took 1st place in the college division of the race! Best of all, the marathon was a huge fund-raising success, as $393,000 was gained for Saint John's.

The Annual Jimmy Stewart Marathon is just one of the many ways FIDM gives to the community!

Attention FIDM alumni! Want to join a winning team for next year's Marathon? We need your support! Spend a day catching up with other alumni and sharing in a worthwhile cause! If you are interested in participating, please call Carmen Berry at 213.624.1200, Extension 3250.
