House of Design 1997


The 33rd annual Pasadena Showcase House opened this April and as in past years, The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising played a major role. Dina Morgan, Chairperson of FIDMs Interior Design Department, served on the committee that oversaw the interior decor.

A FIDM student design team worked on the Gotham Grill and Riddlers Pub, while three faculty members designed the study, terrace and pavilion. Most exciting however, were the eight FIDM alumni who designed various rooms within the manor. They were chosen to participate in this years event based on their success in the Interior Design industry.

Tours of the house were conducted from April 20 through May 18 with proceeds benefitting the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Pasadena Area Youth Music Education Programs.
