The photo shoot

The Studio will approve two or three set-ups before pulling the shoot together. They will look through photography books based upon the Art Director’s needs, then they must find and book a photographer for the photo shoot.

The Day of the Shoot: The Art Director has a very full day. With the sketches as the main reference, he or she has a meeting with the agents and the photographer, meets with the stars to show them what they are to do, and directs the shoot. Keep in mind that the team must get coverage needed to build the ideas they have already sold to the Studio. The shots from the photo shoot go to the Studio, where the Art Director will choose which pictures to use.
