Men's designer Quyen C. Ha's design interests are centered on dressy to casual sportswear for young men. She considers fit to be of ultimate importance, and as a designer she thinks and creates the way an architect does. It is important to Quyen that a garment be well made from the inside out so that it can maintain its structure for years and years. She uses fine fabrics such as wool, tweeds, silks, and unique vintage fabrics. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, detailed with hand needlework. Earth tones of green, brown, black, and gray comprised her pallet of colors for her Debut 2005 collection, with vivid hints of neon yellow and lime green thrown in. At Debut, Quyen sent her models down the runway in everything from knee pants to coveralls to skirts over trousers.
