Kristine Karnaky

Beginning in high school in Houston, Texas, Kristine Karnaky was involved with design. She began thrift- and vintage-shopping for unusual items to cut up and sew back together. After high school graduation, she earned her AA degree at a Dallas, Texas design college, then enrolled in FIDM’s Professional Designation program in Fashion Design. While in LA Kristine worked at various vintage shops, studying the vintage pieces for their unique design features. After living and doing costume work in Oregon, she interned in London with famed fashion designer Zandra Rhodes before returning to LA to complete FIDM’s third-year Advanced Degree Program in Theatre Costume.
