Nick Verreos

Though popular FIDM instructor Nick Verreos rose to fame as a semi-finalist on Bravo's Project Runway: Season 2, he's been a favorite at FIDM for over four years, teaching classes in three different departments: Apparel Manufacturing Management, Merchandise Product Development, and Fashion Design. Outside the classroom he's a busy man as well. Nick finds time to write and blog for publications including People, People.com, Bravo.com, and Frontiers magazine; act as a Fashion Commentator for NBC, E! Entertainment television, and TV Guide channel; design the "Nick Verreos for Windsor Fashions" Prom dress line to belaunched in 2007 - and design his signature line, Nikolaki, sold exclusively in high-end boutiques around the country. The Missouri native, who is fluent in both Spanish and Greek, is inspired by exotic locales; art; music; strong, sexy women; Southern California weather; and the Red Carpet, on which his gorgeous gowns frequently appear. Inspiring students is what Nick likes most about teaching at FIDM. His sense of accomplishment comes "when that one student approaches me on the last day of class and expresses how much they learned and were inspired from my teaching. If I can reach one student, it keeps me going quarter after quarter." Nick Verreos' work can be seen and read at http://www.nikolakidesign.com and at http://www.nickverreos.blogspot.com.
